The discHub was first conceived by Alex in 2001 for his senior Product Design project at Stanford University where Alex and Jon's paths first crossed.
The problem was simple, despite a large range of storage option for discs, they still frequently ended up stacked next to stereos, tvs, and computers. While storage for discs has always dealt with the long term storage there was clearly something missing to actively store discs safely and securely on a temporary basis.
